Danville is a part of the San Ramon Valley Unified School District which is ranked as one of the top school districts in the state. These results place SRVUSD as the 6th highest unified school district in the state and the highest ranked among unified districts with more than 9,000 students. The overall 2009 API growth score for the district was 914. Parents love our excellent public school system as it seamlessly provides their children with top-notch education from kindergarten through the 12th grade. Our Danville schools lay the educational foundation for success required for acceptance into the competitive colleges and universities nearby, such as UC Berkeley, Stanford or Saint Mary’s. Our 7 outstanding elementary schools all rank within the top 3% statewide and include Greenbrook School, Green Valley School, John Baldwin School. Montair School, Sycamore Valley School, Tassajara Hills School and Vista Grande School. All are K-5 schools. Our 3 great middle schools serve grades 6 through 8 and include Charlotte Wood Middle School, Diablo Vista Middle School and Los Cerros Middle School. Both superior high schools rank within the top 3% statewide.
