Danville California, noted for it’s quaint small-town charm,is one of the wealthiest suburbs in the San Francisco Bay Area, with some of the most expensive and exclusive country clubs and houses in the country. Danville is located in the respected San Ramon Valley Unified School District and boasts lots of upscale specialty shops and many nice restaurants. Needless to say, Danville is a highly popular place to live.
There are lots of things to do in Danville California. Hartz Avenue plays host to one of my personal favorites, the Hot Summer Nights Car Shows,features 100's of vintage pre-1960's automobiles on display with live music. Not to be outdone, the Danville Livery & Mercantile, where you can shop, dine and work, hosts many special events each year. One of which is their own “Summer Nights”. Danville California Art Fairs include the Danville Fine Arts Faire in June and the Danville Fall Crafts Festival in October. A new event this year is the Art & Antique Fair in February. Another really fun thing to do in Danville California is attend the Music in the Park concert series during July and August. The Danville Fourth of July Parade is another fun family event. The ever popular Farmer’s Market in Danville is held on Saturday mornings year round, hosted by the Pacific Coast Farmer’s Market Association. The Danville International Children's Film Festival is a four day celebration of “films for children and by children” in May.
Danville California owns and maintains 167 acres of parks, mostly used for active recreation. Additionally, the Las Trampas Regional Wilderness may be accessed from Remington Loop in Danville or Starview Drive in Danville.Las Trampas Regional Wilderness is more than pretty green hillsides visible from San Ramon to Walnut Creek and Moraga. Las Trampas Regional Wilderness is 5,342 acres of parkland, much of it accessible by foot or horseback. Bicycles may be ridden on designated bicycle trails, and on fire or service roads unless otherwise posted. The Iron Horse Regional Trail passes right through Danville California. First a rail road, now a trail. running from Dublin to Concord that attracts bikers, skaters, and joggers. So, as you see, there is no shortage of recreational opportunities in Danville.
