Located at the intersection of I-580 and I-680 with the existing shared Dublin-Pleasanton BART station and a new West Dublin BART station now open, Dublin CA real estate is becoming a commuter’s paradise! Formerly known as Amador and Dougherty's Station, homes for sale in Dublin CA are part of a growing suburban city of the East Bay region with a population of about 50,000 according to the state of California's 2010 estimates and by 2030 is estimated to grow to 75,900.
Construction of new single family homes by various builders began in 2000 on the East side of Dublin in an area now known as Dublin Ranch with construction still ongoing in Positano, Fallon Crossing and other new neighborhoods. Homes for sale in Dublin CA that are part of Dublin Ranch range from about 1,500 sq. ft. to over 3,500 sq. ft. with selling prices in 2010 ranging from $510,000 to $1,190,000. As part of the planned development of Dublin CA real estate most Dublin Ranch neighborhoods have their own parks, but Ted Fairfield Park is a very large well equipped park in the Dublin Ranch area that includes ball fields as well as play areas. Nearby Emerald Glen Park makes Dublin CA real estate popular with all ages!
As an alternative to the single family homes for sale in Dublin CA, Dublin Ranch includes several complexes of condos and townhomes which are clustered together in an area called Dublin Ranch Village. Included are the neighborhoods known as Cottages, Villas, Courtyard, Sonata, Sorrento and Terraces. Prices in these neighborhoods in 2010 ranged from $199,000 to $678,000. Just down Dublin Bl. To the West of Dublin Ranch Village lies Elan at Dublin Station which is literally across the parking lot from the Dublin-Pleasanton BART station. These condos are extremely popular especially to those commuting into the city on BART and looking for city-like amenities in a suburban location.
The growth in population of Dublin brought about by all of the new development of Dublin CA real estate on the East side of town has resulted in the construction of new schools and a steady improvement in CA API Test Results. School API scores are catching up with the nearby renowned and coveted San Ramon Valley Unified School District (SRVUSD) and there is a major expansion of Dublin High School underway even though it already made Newsweek Magazine’s list of top public high schools in America in 2010. Only 6% of all public schools achieve this recognition.
Lacking a formal downtown area like neighboring Pleasanton, homes for sale in Dublin CA are supported by two major shopping areas. On the West side is the older and adjacent Dublin Plaza and Amador Valley shopping complexes that include a wide variety of retail stores, food stores (a newer Safeway) and restaurants. On the East side of town is Hacienda Plaza which boasts a large AMC Theater complex that includes an IMAX venue. Stores like Best Buy, Old Navy and Any Mountain are found in the plaza as are restaurants such as Black Angus, On the Border and of course a booming Starbucks location.
Homes for sale in Dublin are being increasingly sought by families with children looking for a commuter friendly location with a small town flavor that still offers shopping and recreational options.
